Confirmation of Altitude Switch - is the switch open or closed below 1000m?
Per Bentley manual, below 1000m the switch should be closed.
Can anyone confirm this to be true? Asking as I know Bentley to be incorrect sometimes. Last edited by LBEEMING; 03-02-2023 at 01:47 AM.. |

So the altitude correction box is just a switch that only makes one change at 1,000 meters or 3,280 feet. If you go higher, no additional correction.
I drove up to the Rocky Mountain National Park visitors center and it is at 12,000 feet or 3,657 meters. It felt like I was pulling a trailer and the performance really sucked. I guess the box only thought I was above 1,000 meters and I was but way above.
