Where can i buy carb cleaner that will melt your hand????!!?!

I'm tired of wasting my money on this environmentally friendly ****. Anyone know where I can get the real nasty stuff that will take you hand right off? I am willing to drive 2,000 miles to get it.

I picked up two gallons of lacquer thinner in New Mexico last year. Turns out to be the same "water" they sell in California. It just turned greasy car parts into sticky, oily parts.

Just doing my part to cure the sunburned penguins in Antarctica.

Give me old McKay's Parts Dip in a one gallon can. That'll take the chrome off your bumper hitch. Your hands smelled like it for days.

YES! there has to be a shop out there with access to this stuff! No way you can do business without it. Any shops in SoCal with access to this stuff? Anyone know aircraft equivalent chemical that works?

Dichloromethane , DCM, methelyne chloride, all the same stuff, solvent. Make your liver into a lava rock. Find some biodiesel, will dissolve grease, paint, cheap, and easy to store, metal, not plastic.
Methylene Chloride was the stuff in the old carb dip. Never want to smell that again.

This. biodiesel might be the answer. Sometimes, often, vinegar is the answer. It certainly is an excellent remover of oxidization (rust). Where I have to bring out the big guns to degrease and totally strip a part....brake cleaner. But I use rubber gloves which I recommend strongly.

Acetone and transmission fluid works wonders if you keep the lid closed.
Then the crappy stuff to remove any residue.

If DCM is heated to decomposition, numerous toxic components are released, Phosgene is one of the nastiest. Gotta be careful with chlorinated solvents.

It all depends on what you are cleaning. Super Clean will remove grease easily and quickly, but it can eat aluminum if you soak a part in the stuff.

For many tasks I use the B12 Chemtool just as John Walker says. I buy that stuff regularly. It is handy to use on because cleanup is easy, it just evaporates, and leaves the crud on the large steel pan and the plastic pan I catch most of it in. Wipe out with a paper towel, done.

When rebuilding my 911 engine several years ago at a friends shop, he had a drum of what I called "The Toxic Soup". This stuff was old bio diesel, regular diesel, old gasoline and any kind of left over solvents he may have had on hand. Had to use very heavy rubber gloves handling that stuff while using a parts cleaner brush to clean things.

I still get a whiff of it when I pull the heat levers in the 911 as I used it to clean my heat exchangers.

But when it came down to the "final cleaning" of what the soup and the brush wouldn't get.......regular old Starting Fluid in an aerosol can. You'd better wear good heavy gloves with that stuff as well.
