Converting back to Targa

1979 Porsche 911 was converted to convertible in the 80'
Would be interesting what is involved to convert back to Targa.
I think as a Targa the value will go up versus a cut convertible conversion.
Would need the rollbar, cover, trim panels, glass, gasket, targa top. And some smaller parts.
Greetings, Harold

Search “targa conversion”. 7 pages of info on the conversion. Everything you could possibly need to know.

Not in the business of trolling but a random comment from a new account on a post that's been quiet since April smells suspiciously like a scammer trying to make their account look credible

You might be the scammer. Nothing really in your public profile.
If you would have clicked on my profile, my contact information is right there.
It should be a requirement to post in the forums.
Greetings, Harold

i would imagine this is a very expensive project and the difference in Value between a garden variety Targa and your cab would be negligible compared to what it would cost to do the project. You have a beautiful car, i say keep it that way .

Excellent advice.

If you want to change the look get a hard top from the French company

I was referencing someone else in this post is likely a scammer, not you Harold...

The company making hardtops for air cooled cars is D Morris our of France but the only do the later style latches.

Someone in Wash. DC had a red hard top that would be perfect. I believe it was made by an aftermarket. I think it converted a soft top to a hard top and looked pretty decent. I don't believe it was a for sale ad.

Edit: I just saw you have been trying to sell this car since April. Nice lower price, but why even bother with getting the info to convert when you were going to sell it from the beginning.
