Mechanic for a PPI in a remote spot

Hello, all. This is my first post as I'm looking at buying a 1974 2.7.

I'm looking at a car in a small town in southwest Kansas and wondering what folks would suggest for finding someone to do a thorough PPI. (I'm in Florida.) Topeka and Wichita are all 3-5 hours away.

Lot of obstacles here, lol. I'm first time classic car buyer, looking at a car in a far-off place, in a small town. Hoping someone has an an experience like this who could shed some light.

Thanks for any guidance y'all can lend. Cheers.

The experiences like yours that I know of didn't work out well. If this is a private sale, do what you have to, to get a proper PPI done by an experienced Porsche shop. "there's no more expensive car than a cheap Porsche."

You could reach out to Andrew Eagan at A&R Autowerks. He’s in Beaufort, SC. He may be up for it, he suggested such travel in the past. Send him a plane ticket, pay incidentals and his time and you’ll know all you need to about the car.

I hope you don’t take this the wrong way, as I am trying to be helpful, but what’s so special about this exact car that warrants this kind of effort? A 1974 911 normal is rarely a special car, and most will generally agree you’re getting a much better vehicle if you look at 78-83 911sc.
