Transmission shaft input leaks, help!!

Hi everyone,
My '86 915 transmission is leaking from the input shaft seal.
Background:
- no leaks for years
- body checked a guard rail at Lime Rock last year
- get car back from body shop drive about a week and a couple of track days, input shaft starts leaking
- rebuild transmission and replace input shaft seal
- two weeks later, input shaft starts leaking again
When I had the transmission apart I didn't notice any scoring on the input shaft. I did not check the input shaft for straightness.
TIA,
Chris

Just a question, Chris.....
How was the bore the seal sits in?
The seal on my 915 had obviously been replaced at one time, and a PO/M damaged the edge of the machined surface a bit. I used a machinists de-burring tool to clean it up. I also put a little 3-Bond 1104 on the outer edge before I drove it in. No leaks.....yet.

That's a good question. I don't know. It wouldn't kill me to replace the guide tube I guess.
