HA!

It's not only the 912e, but ALL early fuel injected Porsches have the same 40-50 year old fuel lines & hoses.

I'm super glad I gave len all my money a few years ago. First rule of old car ownership, how to avoid a carbque.

Just received my two Element E50s from Pelican over the weekend.

Also, looking into Blazecut.

I have all new fuel lines...but, still. Not sure if there is overkill, based on value, I mean, sure...but how much blood, sweat and tears I (or a lot of you) have poured into our cars. THAT is more valuable to me at this point.

Looks like he gave the entire car a hosing.

The rear reflector is in surprisingly good shape which seems to indicate the fire started up top. Is it running ancient carbs ?

Don’t count on an element… the safety crew at our local track tested one… and then put out the fire with a normal fire extinguisher.

Mine are Blazecuts. When they are exposed to heat at level indicative of fire, they release a gas which extinguishes the fire. Operates automatically give you time to get out of the car with extinguisher as backup.

Crow911, Thanks for the info, is there a particular Blazecut model # I can look for. I was not sure what to look for on their site.

They come in various lengths. While some buy the long version and coil it around or over the engine, I wanted to get them at the potential source of a fire—I.e. the fuel rails and lines. So I ordered two short ones and fabricated some mounts so they are directly over each fuel rail, and ordered a 3d longer one that I mounted above the rear fuel lines.
