According to the PP parts drawing, there are two roll pins per CV joint. I cleaned the joint but cannot find any inside. Where are these pins supposed to be and what is their function? Thanks

The earlier joints used 4 bolts and 2 roll pins at the flanges to connect to the stub axle and the transmission, the later joints use 6 bolts. If you gave the year of your car we could tell you which joint you should have.

I'm assuming he has an 80 SC, as his signature says, so his CV joints don't have roll pins.
