window regulator pivot pin question
hello everyone
I have a 1984 911 carrera conv. that i need a window pivot pin for. I noticed there are 2 sizes 23 and 26mm - i am not sure what size I should order as mine is sheared a couple of mm away from the slotted head. i have seen several articles on here but I must be missing this detail for some reason (blind perhaps) - any help would be greatly appreciated thanks sean |

If I remember correctly the pin that usually breaks (outside of the coil) isn’t available. The pivot pin they sell is for the inside of the coil spring. It’s been awhile but I’m pretty sure you have to make your own.

As Dpmulvan suggested, are you referring to the main pivot pin? Or the outer tension pin?
Here's a starting point for you: https://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/1153558-window-regulator-pins-87-a.html |

There are several threads showing fixes including using a modified shoulder bolt. Search and you'll get some ideas.
