Carrera 3.2 shroud broken at bolt mount point - how can I fix this?

The shroud on my 84 Targa is broken at one of the fan housing mount points, see the picture below.

How should I go about repairing this?

I'm not sure a simple fiberglass patch will provide enough strength for this mounting point.

Can I fill in the entire breach point with JB Weld and then drill a new hole through the JB Weld?

I am open to suggestions.

Just an idea, you might take a thin sheet of aluminum and JB weld that under the hole/broken area to function as base, then use some Ptex (it's a plastic rod that's used to fix scratches in ski bases, they sell them in both black and clear colors) to drip-melt into the gap. Then you could drill out the hole. With the Ptex, you should get an even mold throughout, and it should bond well with the shroud plastic - especially if you heat up the shroud plastic a little bit with a heat gun. After you drip-melt the plastic into the gap, you'll have to sand it down flat before you drill your hole. Just an idea. Good luck!

Poke two holes stitch it together with wire, then cover it with 3m panel adhesive or other flexible epoxy.

The plug wire holder covers it. Sort of a non problem. Or use a wider washer under the bolt if no wire holder.

Great suggestion on the wider washer. Problem solved!

This is a 1984 911. Is the Allen bolt correct for this position? Should it be a hex bolt?

I've looked at several 84s, a hex bolt is correct.
