Hey DAG,

Porsche964turbo - what are your eventual aims for this car? I understand you do want something that will launch well. Any thoughts or ideas on track/mountain route driving? Drag racing times over the quarter etc? 0-60 or 0-100 times and speed desires?
For those who are concerned with the understeer characteristics of the AWD 964 there is a good article at www.porsche964.co.uk titled 'Wringing out the Carrera' by Randy Hubbard. This is a 4 part 'essay' about overcoming understeer primarily by technique they called "toss and catch" and also by modifying the suspension. Its also worth read 911&Porsche World March 2002 edition regarding the Lightweight C4 RS (only 20 were made) - 250kg (550lbs) lighter than a C2 and 350kg (770lbs) lighter than C4...even 150kg (300lbs) lighter than a stripped out C2 RS!!! Total weight od this vehicle was 1100kg (2425lbs) Cheers Mark
