Can you see what’s wrong in this pic?

Was watching some classic 911 videos on YouTube as I’m itching for the spring and came across a guy reviewing a nice white 1986 911. Once he got to the engine bay, I facepalmed.

I don't think it's ripped/damaged looks installed sideways.

And it's even more obvious when playing the video. I can't believe they didn't notice it when they shot this video. Belt must have ripped soon after.

Well, it's only the AC. All the 3.2L 911 I know have worthless AC anyway.

it rolled... it happens ... it doesnt have a dynamic tensioner...

i've had my fan belt do it on an aggressive downshift

What about that white AC clutch? That compressor is smoked and probably what caused the belt to turn.

Ac on any G body is easy to make fantastic. Just call Griffith's and get the Mr. Ice project. All the parts needed to make COLD air on 100+ degree days. I did that and I love it, and my wife will ride with me in hot weather.

My dad upgraded to one of their systems years ago in the 911 he handed down to me. I need to get the system charged and working.
