Plug wiring route with 3.2 to 3.4 build - any insight?

I have an 86 with a 3.4/twin plug build about done and looking at plug wiring options. Was thinking, or hoping, I could use the 964 engine tin with the cut out but not sure it would fit:

Worst case scenario I will just cut/machine what I have but wondering if others have gone through this with a 3.2 to 3.4 build? Looked for some threads or write ups about it and came up with "not much".

Thanks!
Erik

The 964/993 tin is problematic in a 911, the 964/993 uses a taller sealing edge that forces the engine to be mounted lower when used in a 811

Solution use Sheridan f/g tin replacement then put the plug holes where you want them to be.

Thanks Bill...looking into that option.
