Thinking of getting a rollbar. Any install a Patrick's?
I'm thinking about installing a rollbar in my 930. I like the look and design of the Patrick Motorsport bar: https://patrickmotorsports.com/products/bod911930sarbpms?_pos=8&_sid=1a8873ae5&_ss=r
I'm open to other suggestions. I've also considered the DAS, Autopower, and TRE. Anyone here have one and able to load some installed pics of it? The Patrick site has a couple pics but I'd like to see more before pulling the trigger. Patrick says I should have full seat travel so that's good. They also say it'll fit in a sunroof car but I removed my sunroof and was planning to get a taller roll bar to fill the gap so I'd like to see how big that gap is. I do plan to put roll bar padding on the top bar so maybe the extra room won't be as noticeable.

The Patrick roll bar looks like a nice one. Once you get pictures, you’ll see how much the roll bar padding will take up between the bar and the roof.
If you ever think you might want to remove it temporarily or take out some of the components, like the horizontal/diagonal bar. the Safety Devices roll bar or roll cage is a good one. I had the Safety Devices cage in my 911 and 930. It comes powder coated satin black. Auto Power is a lower tier bar imho. I don’t know about the others Last edited by A930Rocket; 08-12-2025 at 03:54 PM.. |

I have an auto power in my 911. I had a combination of an auto power bar and safety devices cage in the chump 911. The safety devices stuff was nice and it was modular like a930 said. The auto power bar could be an inch taller, it was a big screw around mounting the seat low enough in both cart to keep your helmet lower than the top bar.

I have a Safety Devices cage going in one SC and a Das for the other.
Have the 81 on the dolly and the seats out, so I can demonstrate how the Das fits, and the huge benefit of that cage is NO drilling required for installation.

Hey David,
My 930 had a full cage Safety Devices that I removed. I'm thinking about selling it (it's like new). Let me know if you'd be interested. Thanks...

I’m just looking for a roll bar and I imagine if for a cage, it has connections going forward so it couldn’t be just a roll bar.

In case you did not know...my cage can be used as a roll bar. When I bought my 930 it had a full cage but I later removed the front portion of the cage by unbolting its front portions. Then the rear portion becomes a roll bar. I decided to remove a roll bar a few years ago.
