value of a 2.7 RS

What is the price for a stock 2.7L rs engine (5000 Miles from rebuilt)

It depends on whether it's 'built to RS specs,' or a motor from an actual Carrera RS. I've seen people trying to pass CIS 2.7 motors off as Carrera RS motors.

It also depends on who did the rebuild.

Does the owner have the rebuild receipts? This should form the basis for the value. A rebuildable 911/83, NEEDING a rebuild, would probably go for $8,000 to $12,000 if complete and not actually broken. (MFI, Ignition, heat exchangers, tin, etc.) It is not impossible to spend upwards of $20,000 on a rebuild, depending on what is salvageable and what is not.
