You could try spraying CRC/WD40 in the lock with the key half in and working the fluid into the lock. Failing that you could always do the drastic thing that I had to...
I removed the whole lock assembly and after several unsuccessful attempts to fix the steering lock, I decided for what it was worth, it was easier to cut it off with a grinder. I could have replaced the whole lock assembly, but they are bloody expensive. ![]() |

Instead of WD40 use key cylinder graphite dust in a small tube which you squirt in and then work the lock with the key. You can get graphite at Home Depot or a locksimith.

I just had something similar happen on another car [not the p-car]. Eventually the key would not come out nor was I able to turn off the car! The tumbler had to be replaced in this case.
