In the top picture: The 6pin connector seems to just plug into the CD box. The three additional wires are 1) Green with a red vertical stripe, 2) Green with a black vertical stripe and 3) Brown with a red vertical stripe.
In the second picture, just to the right of the CD box are another set of wires. They are colored in the following fashion 1) black (is this for the rear defrost?), 2) Red with a spiral/vertical white stripe, 3) red with a black spiral/vertical stripe 4) brown, and finally, 5) a greenish (?) wire with white horizontal stripes that is located off to the side...kinda' The third picture, I know where that goes but what do I connect it to or to it? I've looked at a couple of wiring diagrams (on this site, Sherwood's and the Haynes manual) and I must be missing something because none of these have shed much light...unfortunately.

I tried doing a search but I wasn't able to produce much in terms of addressing this specific situation.
Any ideas?

In the cars I have seen, this is what some of those wires are based on colors
1) Green with a red vertical stripe, oil pressure gauge 2) Green with a black vertical stripe, oil temp gauge 3) Brown with a red vertical stripe. not on my diagrams. 1) black (is this for the rear defrost?), Lots of different ones in the wiring diagram, need to find out what one end is attached to. 2) Red with a spiral/vertical white stripe, Lots of different ones in the wiring diagram, need to find out what one end is attached to. 3) red with a black spiral/vertical stripe, Lots of different ones in the wiring diagram, need to find out what one end is attached to. 4) brown, ground 5) a greenish (?) wire with white horizontal stripes, oil level sender??? This info is from a 1970 wiring diagram, but should be a good start, the oil sender info wiring seems to be pretty consistant across the years... good luck Jim

Thanks Jim.
I printed out the color diagram from Sherwood's site. It seems as if most of the wires in question are oil related. Fair enough. I would think that these wires would be on the other side of the engine bay - closer to the tank. So do I just plug that 6pin unit from the top picture into the CD box and that's that? Also, Jim, I have another post regarding the 14pin harness. I have that diagram from your site but my engine only has a 12pin. There is a 14pin on the other side - do I just doctor that up? Thanks

Sorry I have no experience with the 12 pin connector, hopefull someone else can jump in and help you out.
I do know you can carefully pop open the 12 and 14 pin connectors to look athe the wiring colors and placement, that might help.... Jim
