I'm thinking of transforming my 77 911s Targa into a wide (Turbo) body cab. if you have one lease post pix of your car. Anybody out there done the targa to cab conversion? Pros-Cons??

This was an SC. It will end up costing you more than you think when its all done. The flairs are one thing, but then you gotta get the front lower valance, spoiler, rear tail, bigger wheels, or spacers, etc.. It is well worth it though.

Does a real Turbo (as compared to a Turbo bodied) cab count? See signature file.

Original 1988 Turbo look Cab, with recently fitted Strosek styled bodykit. My question - do you think that I should keep the polished Fuchs, or change to 17" Turbo Twist to complete it?

Here's my car that stared out as a 75(I guess it's still a 75). Somebody added steel flairs, 1979 turbo motor and a top from a 83. It is actually well done job. It's rumored to be owned by pimp in LA.

Those are some fine looking rides. Real Turbos are accepted. After all that's the look the conversions are aiming at. Thom, you should hook up with Wayne for the next book "Targa To Cab Conversions made easy?"

P.S. Those are your old SSI's on my Targa.

liehsoh,
Keep the fuchs..! The twists dont look right on 80s 911..Also big tails belong on Turbo rear end vehicles..But then again it's just my opinion...

Gorgeous cars, but the Subject of the thread sounds like the title to many spam I've received.

Liehsoh, that is one awesome sled.

Now back to the hot pics!

Not to hijack this thread, but how many of us have Turbo Cabs? And the year of your Turbo (in otherwords, 4-speed or 5-speed)?

There are at least three of us -
8axis - 89 black on tan
Blkbird - 89 black on black
89turbocabmike - 89 red on black

Anyone else out there?

A little historical note. That nice road is a section of the Lincoln highway. Plenty of room to test the gear box and pedal travel.
