2.2E dist. into 2.7 rs clone?
Help does anyone know if this will work moderatly well for a short term fix untill i'm able to locate the proper dizzy? i'm in the process of installing a 2.7 rs clone (built by unclezak) into a 914-6
in place of a 2.2e..... thanks |

help... just trying to find out if the advance on the 2.2e will be compatable with the "S" engine for a short while or if i need to locate a different dist. before getting car up and running. on the same note anyone have the correct dist. for sale?

Glad to see that Rich's long block found a good new home. Are you going to put carbs or MFI on it?
Also, we will be doing another Carolina Drive on 11/8 starting out from W-S. Have the car ready to join us! To your question, here is a quote from Warren "Early S Man": "All 2.4 T's, E', & S's had the same curve ... the ONLY differences between them was which rev-limiter rotor was fitted from the factory! Likewise for the 2.7 CIS engines, which used a 'T' spec distributor thru the end of '77 production!" That said, there are a few shops in the US that specialize in recurving distributors. I just can't find the list right now. HTH
