My car idles fine with either chip, with or without the AC on. Tyson did some adjustments to my air flow meter (I think?) that solved a brief (and sporadic) problem I was having with a hunting idle..

Update: my math was bad. The increase is the same, but the final hp is higher. 286 hp (allowing for 15% drivetrain loss) from headers and a chip.

I had to chuckle at this. Years ago I got a chip from Mike and Ingo for my 3.6 conversion, then promptly the car got pushed in the back of the garage when I lost my job.

Had totally forgotten about the puppy until this thread. Now to find the thing here in the office and see about putting it in the DME!

Glad for this posting and that it works so well! I have to say that after about 3 years driving the car with the 3.6 its much better than it ever was. Now to get it out of the paint booth...

"I took the car to a dyno, and was able to test the two chips side by side, on the same dyno on the same day. It's a pretty ideal set-up for comparison, to see if you really can extract extra horsepower and torque with nothing more than a chip."

I'm cornfused again. Not the first time. Not even the first time today.
Old news I know. Jack are you still around?

Do your dyno runs compare stock chip to No Bad Days chip or No Bad Days chip, switch set to Standard Mapping vs same No Bad Days chip switched to Performance position?

C-Diddy,

good question. He switched between stock and performance mode of the NBD chip between runs. Stock mode is the equivalent of removing the NBD chip and plugging the stock chip back into the DME.

So it's not two chips, it's the same chip in the two different modes and the "Stock" chip he refers to is just the NBD chip in stock mode which is mapped to match the stock parameters?

The chip is actually just one chip with two maps that can be toggled by the switch, correct? Turn off the car, toggle the switch, turn on the car? Vroom, Vroom?

Yes, that is absolutely correct. It's one chip with two "sections" and the external switch selects which is being used. You can toggle that switch even while the engine is running.

Very nice Ingo. Didn't know about your chip until now. Must have been sleeping.

Free bump if you are trying to solicit biz.
