Maximum height difference of Adjustable springplates

Does anybody know the maximum height difference you can get from an adjustable springplate that's set in the middle?

Example: I just installed them and have them set in the middle (as recomended), but my car is 1" too high on one side and about an inch and a half too high on the other side. Do I need to re-index the T-bars, or can I get a 1 inch change using the adustable spring plates? And, yes, I drove it around to settle it in

Anyone? I don't want to take the springplates off unless totally necessary, but I also don't have large enough wrenches to fit the backside of the adjustment bolts. I used a large crescent wrench (cheesy, I know) while they were out, but it won't fit in-between the tub and the springplate.

Will a normal open end fit, or is it a special tool?

You need a special 36mm thing wrench that Pelican sells for about $28 bucks. The eccentric will lower the back of your car about .75-1.0 inches. Anything more and you are re-indexing.

Like Sam says anywhere from 3/4"-1", but sometimes even less. And you don't need to buy a $28.00 plus shipping wrench. Just head down to your bicycle shop and ask for a 36mm headset wrench. Cost you around $10.00. It works just as well, maybe even better than the Porsche wrench.

Man, those Netrix bushings are a biatch to get in. I don't want to do it again, but oh well. I'll get it right this time.

Having just gone through this (but made much easier w/ poly-bronze bushings), you're definitely going to have to re-index. If the spring plate adjustment is in the middle, you're only going to get maybe 1/2 - 3/4" (if that much) either way. Good luck!
