pic request: Deep 6" and 15x7" Fuchs
Anybody have a pic of a pre '74 unflared car with 15x7 Fuchs at all four corners?
What about a narrow body with a set of Deep 6's? Do the deep 6" fuchs look any different from the regular 15x6 wheels when they are on the car? Thanks |

I can't believe it worked! Anyway, I took this photo in 1971 or so, of the "silver weinie"...a local (Oregon) car now dubbed a 911R prototype. IMHO, the wheels on the back are R wheels...possibly the front as well? At the time, most of us, myself included thought this was just an old 1967 911S that had been modified for racing. Well, that's true...but the mods were done at the factory, as the car was being produced. When I took this photo the car was retired from racing, just did auto-x and time trial events. "Obsolete" for racing by then, it still smoked many hotshoes in newer cars. The driver in this photo was Todd Webb, alas, no longer with us.(edit) BTW, exhaust guys...note the size of the single outlet in the pic. Any ideas what it was??? I'm sorry the photo was so fuzzy. I'll blame it on Kodak Tri-X and my own poor film development skills..

My www link has my Pelican profile / pics of my car (72) with 7x15 on rear and 'flat' 6x15 on front. Now have 'deep' 6x15 on front, will take a couple of pics tomorrow if requested.

More great looking cars! Keep the pics coming.
OK you guys that are running 15x7s at all four corners: What size tires are you using without the flares? What are doing to your suspension and/or fender lips in the front? |
