Throttle linkage switch q?
I've noticed on my SC that there is a small switch that I assume is meant to be tripped when the throttle linkage @ the engine returns to its idle point. Mine doesn't quite return enough to activate it, so I just finessed the switch lever a little & now it does.
What does this switch do? I tried to follw the wires but they go to parts unknown at the front of the engine? Does anyone know? thankyou |

on the MFI cars it is a fuel cut off switch to eliminate backfire on deceleration. Can we assume it is the same on CIS cars?

Do a search on "cold start valve" on this BBS. Lots of discussion in the past.

update- the proper operation of this switch seems to have eliminated a tendency for the engine to die when revs drop when its cold. eeeexcellent!
