And one more question - heated rear window element broken in places???

Is there any way of discreetly repairing any broken lines in the heated rear window element - there are about 4 or 5 out...

Cheers

I once saw that there was a special pen available at auto-accessory stores that you could use with a ruler and "draw" up the gaps. It was a special, heat-resistant, conductive "ink" that would allow you to patch up (specifically) rear demisters. I can't recall what it was called, though.

btw, Where is Saffs and how's he going? Do you know?

Thanks adam..

I'l look out for the pen thingy - Saffs is well..I saw him last week - he's dividing his attention between his battered old 911 and an even more battered Volvo Amazon estate...

I think when he says 'it's an estate' people reply 'yes.. it is in a state isn't it...

Ha Ha - hope you're reading this Mr.S

I've used some that came in a little jar with a brush in the lid like finger-nail polish. I think I got it a regular parts store.

Available at your local NAPA store. It's a rear window defroster repair kit. It's through the Balkamp line, works great.
