Mouse ate my seats......HELP !!!!

I'm looking for a supplier that has Factory Original Porsche Plaid Cloth material for recovering the seats in my '77 911s.

It seems that a homeless rodent has taken up a new mailing address.....that being the front trunk of my car (while in garage for the past 2 months). He's stockpiled enough IAMS dogfood in the dashboard to last the winter and has been foragging on my factory cloth seats (used to be a dime size hole, now it's more like a football) to make his bed.

I've seen the cloth used in a recent Excellence Rennline rework of a 911 Cab (Green w/ Carmel colored interior....all except the RED PLAID SEATS !!), but have not had much luck finding the actual materials.

Any help is appreciated....... dial91177s@hotmail.com

see photo of my little mouse's work:

Try calling these follks... http://www.gahh.com/samplei.html

All other suppliers (sucah as World Upholstery) specifically mention that they don't carry cloth interior.

That's a bummer but a funny one.

How did he get into the interior? through the dash??

The dog food will attract them ever time. It needs to be kept airtight.

I get up to 2 a week in the peak months. Since I put one of those moth ball disks in my "trunk" I haven't seen one.

I can't help out locating the fabric, but I had a rodent in my garage for a while. I tried using a sonic device that produces noise at a frequency that rats/mice do not like. The noise is inaudible to humans. It actually seems to work well too.

I purchased it at Home Depot. It is a simple, small and cheap plug in device. I have had it for over a year and have not seen a trace of varmints. I did unplug it for about two weeks and rat droppings appeared. I plugged it back in and they are gone.

It is some cheap insurance for the garage and my P-Car.

The mice in my area must have ear plugs....or the sonic device I bought play mouse music. I found the unit I bought at HD useless. In fact I thjink I caught more with it....even when I put the device in the trunk.

It seems to be a catch 22. You don't want to attract them to a trap but you want to get them if they're there....A cat is the best.

there was another thread awhile back about critters taking up residence in/around the engine. the advice was to pull up on the heater flaps and put a tennis ball in the exhaust in order to keep them out.

as for mice/rats - peanut butter in the trap works REAL well - and yes, dog food, bird food needs to be kept airtight (as me how I know...)

mice tremble at the mere whispering of her name...

But in case she's asleep on the job, I still pull up the heater handle, and jam a tennis ball in the exhaust outlet. So far, so good.
