Submerged O2 sensor in a pan of oil....

I dropped it and it was fully submerged for a minute before I could retrieve it. Is it toast, or can I clean it up and re-use it?

Thanks,

Sorry, it's junk. I was told by my brother the shop owner and mechanic, that you are not even supposed to touch or wire brush the sensor end of unit or it will give off an improper signal. You can use a universal O2 sensor given it has the same number of wires.
