Show me your rockers

I bought a set of steal SC flares from Brad at BW Motorsports when I ordered my RUF Yellow Bird bumpers. He cut them off a wrecked car.
He called tonight and needed to know if I was going to use the C2 rockers (if not he was going to weld up the holes on the flares for the bolt hole of a C2 rocker). I haven't gave it much thought until now. I know some people run with out them. Can someone post some pics of a C2 rocker and any other choices out there for my application.

Thanks
Rick

My vote - no rockers! Such a clean look.

Can you remove the rockers off of a 74-up car? What's underneath?

I bunch of ugly screw holes and supports along with exposed oil and air conditioner lines. Not that is can't be done. It 's just that your going to need to do some patching and minor body work to make it look good.

After just having my rockers off for torsion bar installation, I agree with 89911 that unless you do it right and patch all of the holes, it just doesn't look good. I vote for leaving them on.

Thanks everyone for the pictures and the input .

I think I like the look of the C2 rockers ,with the new yellow bird bumpers that I'm installing on my car.

So the next question would be, Does the C2 rockers just bolt right up to the old mounting brackets and predrilled holes on my "S" car (rocker area)? It will have "SC" rear fenders welded on by then and front and rear Yellow Bird bumpers installed.

Has anyone did this install on there 77 S.

Thanks again
Rick

Rick, you will need to talk to Brad about how his rocker panels mount. I don't think you will be using any of the same holes, and will most likely be using some 3M double sided tape in additon to a couple screws on each side.

PS. Try and make it to the Chili Cookoff next Saturday in Montgomery if you can. Details are on the Ala Pca website...

I did a search on 964 rockers and found some very good information on what it would take to install them here: Factory C2 conversion?

I'm thinking of doing the same too if I can find the parts for reasonable $.

Cheers,

Joe
