A turbo conversion 6 is just a little more than a 3.6 conversion if you can do all the fab work. Ask me how I know.

Yes but my car will still perform like it should before the turbo kicks in, so the slowest my car will ever be is a 914 with a 3.0 SC CIS engine in it which has got to be a little bit faster than a 911SC which is fast enough for most. The turbo comes on at 3,500 which is also sooner than my present power band.

Are you saying that it cost you more than a 3.6 engine to add a used bae turbo kit that can be picked up for around 1,500 bucks plus the fabrication of a few pipes. I am only looking to run at 8-9lbs. rfng has been working up a new kit for around 4,000. I do not believe that I could sell my engine and replace it with a 3.6 plus clutch and tranny for less than that.

No, I had conversion vs conversion in mind. If you take a 3.6 conversion budget and a 3.3 turbo conversion budget they are close to one another.(so far) I did not have the turbo kit in mind.
