That was so funny! Reminds me of some of the stupid stuff I did as a teen and young adult. It's all part of growing up.

At the risk of looking stupid myself, the same exact thing happened to me when some friendly Mexicans helped me pull my Plymouth Acclaim out of the sand in Ensenada. I did tie the strap to the bumper, but the entire bumper came flying off (well, one side at least - the other side held on and towed the car out of the sand. Don't ask me how the car got onto the sand - we were trying to get my sailboat that had been wrecked in the waves. It was a very bad day...
