Yep! Ya Gotta love those 80SC Targa's. Welcome to the world of Porsche ownership and don't go to crazy on fixing it up like some people on this bulletin board. Atleast not for the first year drive it and enjoy it.

The window frame does provide some up and down adjustment. You will need to use special (star shaped) allen tools( I can't remember there real name) to lossen the bolts.

Rod,

That car looks really familiar... Did you buy it from a guy in Va Beach?

If it is the same car, the gaps is b/c the hard top isn't a good fit. You should start by adjusting that. Keep an eye on your odometer...it wasn't working when I drove it.

Steve

Great looking car. Welcome aboard. Good luck with the targa issues.

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul!

Just testing the black dot theory. I hadn't caught on to this yet either.

Yes, the frame around that window is adjustable. I adjusted mine by taking off the door pad, loosening the bolt under the triangular window and the two bolts under the plugs on the front of the door frame. I was able to raise the frame 1/4" without loosening any other bolts.

What year is your car? My window looks different than yours. How did you seem to raise the window? I loosened the screws but can't seem to pull up on it. Any help?

K. Roman my car is a 75 with the opening vent window. You window is probably the fixed glass so it does look different. The mounting bolts for the frame should be the same but I am not 100% possitive. Also there are a few more mounting bolts lower down on the frame, maybe someone has a door apart and can provide a few pictures for you.

Life is good, and its an honor to be a member of this great board.
Thanks for all the wisdom.

Welcome aboard Rod! Nice color too! But then I am a little biased (the 80SC on the right has been sold):
