Porsche Crest A 500HP 4door Porsche? Real or fake?

I found this while doing some evening surfing. Something to compete with the E55 and M5. This would look great next to my 911. But is this actually in the works or a planted story?

this looks like something i found on the www.flat-6.com website. car companies are notorious for planting stuff like this to raise eyebrows. looks like a Cgt front end with a hideous rear end and two many doors.

I like it.

Now I need to place my deposit.

OK, I need to make enough money, then place my deposit.

I'd park such a Porsche next to my future Cayenne TT and future long hood RSR project.

BR,

Kurt

Internet gossip says launch 2007.

Porsche is now starting to go for volume (Target 250,000 p.a.!!!)

It will make the Porsche & Piech familiy even richer. And then when they can no longer milk the name it will be just another car manufacturer.

For me the marque died with the 993.

After the embarassment of the Cayenne, who cares.

That's right.......it's a SUV.

A ****ing SUV!

And now it seems we're going to get a saloon!

What else have they got planned for us.

A city car?

A caravan?

A motorhome?

It's not enough that they make the best of the type. If they had been purchased by AudiVW they would not have dared milk the brand like this. Fiat certainly didn't with Ferrari. But because it's done by Porsche themselves it's acceptable.

Yes Porsche made the best d@mn SUV... Or is that VW.... Err I mean Maserati....

When the only major difference between the VW SUV and Porsche SUV is the engine I find it hard to say Porsche made the best..... Now that Porsche is using a VW 6 cylinder in the cheap Pepperwagon it blurs the line even further.

Now as for the sedan I would have much rather seen it over the SUV but this car is just UGLY. The MB E55 and BMW M5 will eat its lunch.

Porsche makes sports cars and they used to race them. They no longer race, what is next?

It's all about the Benjamin's baby....and I don't like it (the idea or the car). If you want a truck buy a chevy or ford, if you want a sportsedan buy a audi or BMW, if you want a sportscar buy a porsche or ferrari

Well, what else is it about silly? I love my job, I love our products, but the owners of my company, (myself included), love the money that our customers pay for our products. As long as it isn't illegal or immoral, I'll make and market any product that will increase the value of my company.

You can argue whether or not the SUV or Saloon will increase the value of Porsche AG, but don't blame Porsche management for DOING THEIR JOB of maximizing the value of the company by chasing the $$$s. What, are you guys commies or something

yeah sure, no argument there
but i doubt that this was what the founder of the company had in mind.

can't say for sure because the man isn't around to comment on it... but i've got a gutt feeling that he wouldn't have liked it if he was around

Building an SUV and a sedan, doesn't seem to have "tarnished" BMW's reputation. They even build a station wagon.

As long as Porsche continues to build awesome sports cars, the reputation will speak for it's self. It's not like this is going to be a sedan for the masses. We're not talking Chevy Camero or Chrysler 300M for crying out loud. Porsche is going to build a high-performance touring sedan (read: expensive)

Sure we all wish they would just build a few types of sports cars but very few companies have been able to do that and make profit.
