Bilstein front strut grease type?

Can anyone tell me what specific type of grease is used to lubricate the sliding cartridge in a Bilstein front strut?

I did several searches but only found one reference to "rubber safe grease", which I assume is to avoid deterioration of the rubber bump-stop. However, I remain concerned about correct lubrication of the shock insert body.

Any advice?

Thanks,
Jim

Just use a lithium grease inside the housing.

Take a wooden dowel and spread it all around the inside of the strut housing below the rubber seal and then inser tthe cartridge. Be sure it goes all the way down so you can see the semi-circular indention at the end through the hole where the wedge-pin goes.
