Dansk muffler part number?

I'm getting ready to sell a dansk muffler and I can't find any information on the original desription. The number stamped on the muffler is: 911 111 025 01S 24 00 These don't seem to match up with numbers supplied here or other vendors. Any clues. The muffler is a 2 in (73 and earlier style) single out polished stainless. I thinking it is a sport version (hence the "S" in the numbers.

Sounds very much like the one I just put on my car. The S prolly means stainless. Check this thread:

Any idea of what a "gently worn" dansk is going for? It's 3 year old and I need to set my "Ebay reserve"!

Mike, I gave $200 for mine. It had been used for a couple years. Great shape, no dents.

Steve, yes it fits one of the numbers, but has a "S" at the very end. It is (was) a polished stainless so I guess that's it. Is this just a stainless version of the original? I thought that it was more of a "sport" version but I guess I'm wrong. It was very quiet which kind of bugged me.

Nearly positive that the S means stainless. How big is the tailpipe? The sport muffler is about 3.25" diameter. You might also try PM to danskman - he's the US Dansk rep.

Michael, you could try what I've seen done a few times to increase the flow and sound. Add a second tailpipe on the right, and if you want to increase the flow and sound further, you could use the torch and burn an additional hole in the inner wall after you make the hole for the right tailpipe.

Steve thanks for the advice, but I've changed to a 4 out exhaust. Since I've bumped the displacement by running with 3.4l pistons and still using SSI's, I wanted the least restrictive muffler I could find. This is a Borla that is NLA. All in an effort (along with a modified Steve W. chip ) in getting the max out of my upgrade!
