Why would my cruise control not work, sometimes?

I never know if my cruise control is going to work. I can predict my wife better than my cruise control. That's not good. What should I check?

Check all the electrical connections and electrical items, switch, fuses relays, plugs, etc. Most other problems are mechanical, servo bad, cable, linkage, etc. A lot of times, either it works or does not work at all. Make sure everything is tight and clean.

I had issues with mine and it was a vacuum hose that came disconnected on the back of the servo that controls the throttle - cam disconnected when I was tightening my rear struts. The hose is in the engine compartment, forward left hand side - near where the deck strut connects.

I had a problem with the brake light switch adjustment. The switch was adjusted to close and it would shut off the cruise. Good luck

The servo located in the back left side of the engine compartment has two hoses one is fat and one is thin. The thin one is the vacuum line that goes to a connection on the back of the engine fuel injection manifold. The fat hose goes to no where, it just lays in the back of the engine compartment and provides ambient air pressure. My cruise worked fine until the small hose was disconnected. It wasn't intermittent it just stoped working.
