Engine Deck Lid
Need help in determining which year 911 engine deck lids are compatible?
The 78 SC is in the shop and I felt it would be great to have an extra engine lid without the Carrera tail. I understand that major body style changes happened in 74' which may have an affect/problem with earlier/pre-74 engine lids? Any help would be appreciated! Joe

The rear decklid had the same proportions from 1965-1994, with the hinge position changing in 1989 (with the 964). Little details also changed earlier (like the license plate light, I think), but they're all pretty interchangeable up to (but not including) the 993.

The Carrera tail is not for sale, sorry! Jack, thanks for the information. I wanted to have an additional lid on hand, but was not sure of the changes that took place between the years. Have a great day! Joe
