Do you run an MSD or Crane Ignition???

If so take the green wire from the MSD or Crane and connect to the Green wire on the Shift light. Otherwise I think you will need the tach adapter.

I'm hooking up the same one. The directions say to hook up the green wire to the negative side of the coil. I'm trying to avoid running a wire the length of the car. So far I've narrowed it down to either the black or black/violet wire on the back side of the Tach. They go to the DME which is also where the negitive side of the coil wire is. Can anyone narrow it down any further?

If I am not mistaken it is the Black/ Violet wire.
