I like the sound of the bet, $1,000 and a fun weekend. I may take youall up on this bet, say sometime this summer?

I would suggest an HSR West or VARA event. That way We could do at the noontime ride around. I could even see if it could be done with 3 passengers!

Very tempting, a near break even weekend of fun and driving;

I wonder what flavor coffee goes best with humble pie?

Dude, if you get below a 1:50 I'll be amazed. Cup of coffee in hand or not. This track has humbled everyone the first time they've driven it.

In general, anything from Peet's will do.

I prefer Seattle's Best, myself. A good Henry's Blend really brings out the subtle flavors and complexities of a properly made humble pie.

Just for giggles, why not take a stock M3, and, as Jack is SO confident, an E46 version, and equip it with R tires (to match the 6 as Jack has stated are required to pull 1G), while The M6 saunters around sipping Latte?

While the M6 is a pretty cool car, I have my doubts as to a stock M6 on R tires waxing an M3s tail, passengers or not.

I too will be happy to eat some humble pie on this BBS if the comparibly equipped M3 comes up short to a stock M6 in lap times, passengers, latte or not.

Lap times tell all, the rest is just bench racing.

My bet stands, with hot coffee. At an OTR event at Willow Springs. Noontime "ride arounds" at track days are what's known as parade laps, no helmets required, passengers allowed, and usually a speed limit of ~55 mph. About as exciting as banging your wife. Have you ever been on a race track? Your complete lack of awareness about track events and fast driving make me seriously doubt it.

Damn, Denis you are hilarious! I'm giggling quietly so my wife, whose asleep, won't wake up and think I'm in some kind of weird chat room.
