Turn signal issue

It began when I received the car. To make a right turn, blinkers work, to make a left turn, blinkers blink about 3 times correctly, then go into what looks like a faint hazzard blinking mode.

Now that I have installed H4`s with 80/100watt bulbs, no matter if flick the signal arm up or down, it goes into the faint hazzard mode.

What gives ?

Hmmmmm.,...., could it be that the turn signal wires go into the head light bucket ?

Does anybody have the wiring diagram for the front turn signals ? I think I cut those in the head lamp bucket.

Ususally the flashing is a bad ground.
And on mine the turn signal wires do come into the headlight bucket. But I'm not sure that is standard.

i can help. i tried tracing the exact same issue for over a year. i cleaned contacts, grounds, etc. at all four corners...nothing. turned out what it needed was simply a new turn signal relay...there around $35 i believe from our host. mine works like a charm.

Mine did the flash a few times then both indicators flash too. It turned out to be the ground wire had come off the back of the tach. (The tach would also read low with the headlights on.)

Well, my issue is of : the wires that were cut in the bucket were cut because I pulled the old headlight wiring out. There were 2 sets of wires coming into the headlight bucket. My front turnsignals, and my running lights dont work. My turn signal indicaters in my tack flash as if in hazzard mode, but my turnsignals in the rear work fine.

Turn Sigmal Mystery.....

Ryan,

Thanks for the tip. I have been trying to solve this problem for 2 years now. All the external signal lights work OK except for the turn signal indicator lamps. All the wiring connections were inspected and checked but never the relay side.

Will post result after the weekend. Thanks.

Yes, a bad ground. Probably right at the tail light assembly (or one of them). It's easy enough to clean the contacts.

(This is exactly what happened to me)
