How does brake Proportioning Valve work?
How does this thing work?
I do know it for brake balance, but how????? What's inside??? ![]() Pic from Tiltonracing.com Is it just a ajustable orifice? or is it like a relief valve? or does it lock out excessive pressure? How does the '84-'88 Carrera 33(55) bar valve work?

The latest issue of Grassroots Motorsport (240Z and 350Z on the cover) has an in-depth article on the whole brake prportioning idea. It's in depth and almost too informative.
edit: sorry, didn't realize you were in EU, maybe you don't have access to the magazine. Hopefully someone can scan it and post it.

Here's what the inside looks like, as pressure builds it works against the spring cutting offf flow to the corresponding set of calipers.
