no spark

ok, I know this has been brought up before, took motor and tran. out to replace clutch, put evrything back the right way?????
and now I have no spark? did notice that the ground wire from tran. to body was broke, didnt think that would stop spark? anyone got any ideas. thanks mark

Put that big fat ground wire back.

sorry 1970 911 targa 2.2. also seems like when I touch points or anything around the points it zaps, like the whole dist. is charged. this is when checking to see if I open and close points do I get a spark,
anyways I dont get a spark accross points?? will put big ground wire back on today will update all thanks again mark

Check the installation of your condensor. Make sure it's attached correctly.

The condensor should be either inside or attached to the distributor ... but, only if you have a conventional -- battery- coil ignition!!!

Your car SHOULD HAVE a Bosch CDI system, and that system does not have a condensor accross the points!!!
