I have an 81 930 and I have some strange running issues.
Lately It idles slightly high at maybe 1000 - 1100 RPM but more strangely is the way it runs when revved. Example: I will accelerate to any given rpm (although the higher the more noticable) and when the clutch goes in (even though my foot comes off the throttle), the revs lob up slightly and hover for a second or two only to very slowly drop back down which makes shifting interesting. It used to drop immediately upon throttle release and clutch engagement so this is odd. My mechanic believes that it may be the auxiliary air valve although he has not actually checked it. Is there a way to check this aside from banging on it while the car is running. Any help would be appreciated Thanks Jerry S |

Don't know much about issues, however could your throttle cable be interfearing with your clutch cable?
Good luck, David Duffield |

I do not believe so because I also forgot to mention that you can notice this sensation even with clutch engaged and running it is just less obvious as there is drivetrain loading.
