where's WEVO?

i just a '85 911 and the shifting was bugging me so i went to hergesheimer motorsports in irvine, CA to see if they thought i need my bushings replaced. they test drove the car and said it needs nothing and shifts just fine. that kinda dissapointed me b/c i was hoping that replacing the bushings would improve the shifting expecially from 1st to 2nd. now that i think about it, its good to know that this is normal so at least im starting off with the best the stock 915 has to offer. im not satisfied with the stock shifting feel of the 915. i have been hearing nothing but positive things about wevo shifter and coupler. its pricy but its worth it to me if it makes that much of a difference.

right now im in the process of searching for the best price for the wevo 915 shifter kit and wevo stock 911 psj coupler. i cant find much on the internet as to where to buy wevo products and good prices. can anyone lead me in the direction as to where and what are some of the best prices you have seen for these two products? thanks!

i emailed wevo and they refered me to two different websites. one of them was S-CAR-GO racing. they quoted me $595 for the shifter and $275 for the coupler plus shipping. has anyone found a better price than this?

Smart Racing lists the coupler for 195 and the shifter for 595.

IMO, Pelican should carry Wevo parts.

what is the deal with a WEVO...how does it change things? Is the shift pattern changed, shorter, etc. Just looking for some details.

The Wevo stuff is on my list of things I want to do to my car. Ive heard a few people mention that they thought it was a huge improvement in the way the car feels.

How much does the Wevo shifter and coupler improve things compared to the internal gate mod? Should all 3 be done together?

I have a WEVO shifter in my '74 2.7 Carrera, which I have raced (with the WEVO installed) several times.

The Carrera is for sale, but I'm probably not going to sell it with the WEVO. My '75 RSR replica has a factory short-shift kit, which, while representing a marked improvement over the standard shifter, is nowhere near as precise and as confidence-inspiring as the WEVO.

I think the biggest benefit is installing the Wevo gate, internally within the trans.?
