72_911T that car is stunning.

There's a lot of great modified cars out there but nothing beats a beautifully preserved or restored to original early car in my books.

Is that Albert Blue?

Talking

This is an older pic of my targa - I just found this thread and will take new pics this weekend.

I added some H1's recently and new seats.

I used to be a DIE HARD coupe fan - not only that, I openly disliked the targa's.

But today it's a different story - I love the "targa" it is a great 911 in sooo many ways.

And for unknown reasons my targa gets way more attention than my coupe!

BTW this is a 72E 57k miles #800 of 861 produced - I love gulf blue too!!!

How is that for a Targa picture? Familytrip ...

... to San Francisco. Wife in the back with the baby, toddler in the passenger seat and stroller in the trunk! We took the top off in the city!

I don't know, I'm sure others here know more. The early Targas didn't have vents on the Targa bar. I think the vents started in 1970.

Pretty sure it's for flow-thru ventilation...but I've yet to feel much ventilation...unless of course the roof is off.

The thread that won't die.

Here is my 74 Targa that I restored to original specs. Except for the high quality 2.7 rebuild with updates/upgrades.

Gotta love the narrow bodies, they are a vanishing breed.

Loads of beautiful cars on this thread.

Thought I'd drag it up and add my true love...my little '71 T Targa, currently having some issues with the 3.0 Carrera engine that was installed but hoping to be back on the road in the next week or so

the 14" wheels have now gone and the car now wears a nice set of deep 6's since this picture was taken but you get the idea.

it's a real blast to drive
