Man, they look good without the console. The Targa I inhertied has the 8-track holder in the console. I'm not sure if I should leave it there for nostalgia, or toss it eventually. I didn't realize 8-tracks were still around in 84. Of course, I was only nine, so what the hell would I know.

So you can end tha carpet at the base of the shifter houseing. Polish the shifter housing base and use any boot you'd like. We just need some osrt of band or ring to go around the bottom of the boot and button things up. I'd really like to keep the leather boot I have. The "hot rod boot ring" could be the ticket.

You need somthing thick enough you can screw down to the floor with out buckling or the ring will just move around every time you shift.

if you're pitching it...and it's black
The center console insert on my '84 coupe is cracked at the speaker fader pot. Since I have (and need) working A/C I don't think pulling the console will work for me.
I really only need the insert piece, but I'm not sure how it connects to the rest of the center console. I'll gladly pay for shipping and a fair price for the piece. THanks! Craig
