So I've been wondering if I got a good deal or not on my 911, so I thought I'd throw it out there and see what people have to say.
Here's the details: -1984 911 Carrera -143k miles -Service recording going back several years -Clutch was replaced a few thousand miles ago -Interior is in great condition. Some wear on the front seats, particularly the driver's side and the arm-rest pockets are slightly bowed out, but otherwise the interior looks brand spanking new. (except for the fact that the driver's side door handle snapped, but that was post purchase and I'll fix that myself) -Shifing requires a little bit of effort into 2nd and 4th gear, but no grinding -- I figure the bushing/shift coupler replacement that I'm working on will sort this out. -A/C works great and blows cold -Heater blower in engine compartment doesn't appear to work, but I still need to perform a complete diagnosis. -16" Fuchs wheels that have been refinished. Paint on the crest on the center caps is starting to come off. Tires needed to be replaced as they were close to the tread bars. -Paint is in pretty good condition -- some rock chips, but it is the original paint. I'm also attaching a pic of the car. So it set me back $14k, and I'm living in the SF Bay Area... what do you think? -Garrett ![]() |

I paid that price but needed synchor's ( in Canada were we pay premiums for lack of supply). I think you got a good deal. Always better to get a good car and as so so deal than the other way around. You did good, now spend the time enjoying

I agree about what you would expect for that price.
