need a part verification

I have a throttle console-bell crank that mounts on the motor with the short rod to the throttle body...

Its part number: 911 110 234 1R

I was told that it came of of a 3.2 carrera. Can anyone verify this for me. Do the all of the fuel injected cars use the same part (bellcrank console piece) ?

thanks in advance anyone!

Brant,

That is a casting number, not a part number. Part numbers are of the form 911.000.000.00

Best,
Grady

I do not think you are refering a part number but rather a casting number. A part number will not end with a letter but a number. Can you post a picture?

I see...

Darn I don't have a camera. I can ask a friend.
Could the R on the end stand for "revised"?

Its the only number on either side of the piece, and I think every piece has a part number on it somewhere?

I'll work on the camera angle though...

from the other side: does anybody know what the correct part number for a 3.2L throttle belcrank console (that bolts onto the motor) should be?

sorry for all the pain in the butt questions.. but thanks a ton everyone.

My .pdf PET shows part number 911 110 091 07 for the part that is bolted to the engine. The text in the PET is Console. If we are talking about the same part, that is.

crud, that definitely differs from the only number I see on this part...

yeah.. I think were talking about the same part. It is the console that bolts onto the motor and has the Crank part of the linkage made into it... then a short 5inch curved rod attatches to this console and goes on to the throttle body.

thanks for looking it up and your time.

thanks again Sigurd

one more question. Does anybody know if this console would be interchangeable for all the FI cars? I only ask because the seller told me it was from a 3.2 car, but now that I can't verify this with the # I have, would it possibly interchange and thus be useable on a 3.2?

As far as I can see, the part number is only valid for '84 to '94 model cars. It will most likely not fit the older FI systems but only the Motronic.

The .pdf PET sure is handy.

The part number for the similar console for the CIS cars has part number 911 110 234 00. As far as I can see from the drawings, this console is fastend using four nuts. The newer consol is fastend using only two. Does this help?

Sigurd,

the plot thickens...
the console I hold looks like it has had 3 bolts or nuts that have fastened it...
