interesting price on a tractor fuel cap! that's what they were off of . They come in various sizes back in Germany

I used to have a cap like that on an old BMW motorcycle.
I would think that they have to be worth more than $10..... $15 or $20 at least. ![]()

911 driver

The aluminium ones are rare and no longer made.
But I think you can still buy them in steel from the original manufacturer in Germany. My guess is that trucks and tractors used the steel version while the aluminium cap was used on motorcycles and cars.

Somebody could just take the "working parts" and stamp the Al top part out with the crimps and all.... Could even be done for a small run by just hammering on a steel form made to do the crimps, etc....
