Hi All -
I noticed a slight oil leak/drop on my '87 Carrera. On further inspection, I saw that the upper-left-hand bolt on the right-side upper chain ramp (the bolt that is accessible externally on the case) had loosened to the last few threads. I tightened it up, but I am wondering if: a) anything was damaged b) the timing is off c) if I should do anything else? There were no strange noises or any problems other than the leak.

Seth,
If all it did was back out a couple of threads ... no problem with the ramp, as it has quite a long shoulder that 'captures' and locates the ramp! It certainly wouldn't hurt to order a new set of ramps and gasket kit, plus the oil lines, sealing rings, and ferrules ... and plan to replace everything, as the plastic ramps do get brittle with age, and old oil lines to the heads and tensioners tend to leak after being disturbed.
