Odd sound when in reverse
I'll start by saying that clutch and trans appear fine (no slipping, grinding, ect). Car is 85 3.2 w 93k. No work major work done on either component.
When I reverse out of my driveway, I will sometimes quickly engage the clutch (peddle in) as I pick up speed so that when I take my foot off the gas, I wont jerk the car. When I push in the clutch, I can hear what I describe as a few taps. Like some is swinging inside the trans. Again, I have no issues w the components but wonder if it is a potential problem or something inherent to the car. Thanks Chris

Taps? Possibly CV joints if they are clicking.

The only other thing I can think of other then the previously mentioned CV joints is the gears and splines taking up the clearances, as they are loaded in the opposite direction.
