Which adjustable front swaybar upgrade for an SC?
I currently have a Carrera 22mm non-adjustable front swaybar on my SC. I am looking into installing an adjustable 22mm bar. From reading 101 Projects, it looks like a pretty easy project. I am considering the Weltmeister 22mm kit. Anyone have this bar, or any comments on it? Does this one come with adjustable drop links? Are those necessary? What other 'affordable' options are there out there?
TIA! -B

Brad, I took off the late carrera bars (22/21) and put on the Elephant Bars. Nice and light and hi quality. I also do service work on a car with "charlie Bars" and IMHO the elephant bars are a better product. A little pricey, but you get what you pay for.

Brad, I have the Welt on Stay Puff. Good bar for the price. If you can swing it I would look into the Smart Racing Product. Thats what Todd is running in the front of his SC per Tyson suggestion. I think the SRP will also allow you to jump up to 30mm bars.
Man you are one mean track ho! ![]() Missed you at breakfast this am. Harold showed up. We need to set a beer night, soon.

Weltmeister work fine for the money, however the design they use of a 4 sided hole in the adjuster bar ends is a weak point. The hole egged out and wound up with alot of slop between it and the sway bar where they connected to each other. No matter how much I tightened the clamp bolt, it still rocked against the sway bar. Adjustable drop links are a must if you wish to properly dial out any preload.
