MSD 6A or MSD 6AL both with Blaster?

I believe a new CD Box and perhaps a Blaster may be in order for my 911 (see "No Ignition").

The question is: would the 6A be best for my early 911 ?..., and for either boxes (6A or 6AL), is the Blaster needed/best?

Thank you.

Pretty much the same. The 6AL will have a built in Rev Limiter in it.
The choice is yours.

The only difference between the 6A and 6AL is that the 6AL has a built in rev. limiter, which is a nice feature, you can add one to the 6A box at a later date but that will add another small box called "soft touch rev. control".

I would suggest the matching blaster coil as it is designed to work with other MSD products, if you use a different coil that has a different resistance, it can, over time, damage to MSD box.

I run a 6A with the Blaster high vibration coil and a tach adapter in my 67S. All is working very well.

H.G.P., I have the 6A with the blaster coil in my 73E. I rely on the dizzy's rotor-limiter for protection. By the way, I don't think it works well. So, I'm going recommend you get a 6AL.

I use the somewhat square Blaster SS coil pn 8207. It mounts on my elec panel and you may need a longer coil to dizzy wire.
